Manalia writes to Rosalie with news that she has permission to be her bridesmaid and talks of the VP Fair Parade in St. Louis the next day.

St. Louis

October 2nd, 99

Dear Cousin,

I have receive my parents permission to be your brides maid so every thing is all right.  Dear Rosie I wish you would come up soon so we could see about our dresses don’t forget to bring those patterns with you because I would like to tell you about them.  Dear Cousin The V. P. Parade will be tomorrow evening I wish you were here to see it when will you be up.  we are very busy down at the store so I can not write very much. we are all well and healthy hopeing you are the same.  Dear Cousin I got a friana (spelling???) from momma last week. it is a little beauty it is just lovely My mother is very good and kind to me I hope you all know that.  I will close with best wishes to all from all
