St Louis Mo

Dear Brother,

Next week I will send you Five Dollars in payment of what you let me have a few weeks back – Every Thing is lovely here – only  I have been sick about ten days and am only out of bed about 5 days – The Gordeu (??) closes here Aug 28 – Do not know what I shall do then – I have contracted to come back here agin next spring at an increase of salary – Think I shall go into the Oyster business here this winter, if I can get a partner.  Don’t worry about your money I will send it to you mext week would have done so before This had I not taken sick – Come up some Sunday and Stay all night, it won’t cost you any Thing except your RR fare – You can get to work by 8 oclock Monday A.M.
